Spring Break!

This past weekend we went to San Antonio to spend some time with my side of the family.  It was so fun to have all three cousins together.  They played and played outside at Honey and Grandaddy's house.  Owen did his best to keep up with the two big boys.

On Friday night, we picked Curt up from the airport and drove straight to a restaurant down on the river called "La Gloria".  It is supposed to be Mexican street food and is so good, delicious food and wonderful margaritas!  Owen had a black bean and cheese taco.
After dinner, we had planned on going on a river boat ride, which turned out to be much longer than we thought it would be...two hours!!!  That was a long ride for a very busy (and sleepy) 20 month old, but he was a trooper and went right to sleep when we got home.

On Saturday, we got up and drove out to Becker Vineyards in the hill country.  We were hoping to see some bluebonnets on the way and take pictures of the three boys, but no such luck.  Curt and I were married at Becker Vineyards, so it is always fun to go back and see our wonderful wedding coordinator, Cristol, and stock up on more delicious Becker wine!  They had live bluegrass music and barbecue on the lawn.  The boys loved running around and playing and then they all three crashed once we were in the car headed home.

It was such a nice getaway for all of us and my parents were, as usual, the most wonderful hosts.  We love being in their home!!!

Tuesday was Curt's birthday so Owen and I decorated a bit and had a cake waiting when he got home.  He was really surprised since we already celebrated his birthday a few weeks ago with family and friends.  I am so thankful for such an incredible, caring husband who is an amazing Daddy to our little boy.  Happy Birthday babe!

And I'll leave you with this little treasure, I find all kinds of interesting things these days.  Our little guy is sooo busy and currently loves messing with anything that has a button!  Who knew the DVD player could double as a parking spot for your favorite car?!
